I’m a little obsessed with the pink Look Fantastic box this month! Their February box is filled with some great products, but also includes some misses for me however on the up side it does feature mostly make-up and totals up to a value of £110!
Without further ado, here’s my unboxing and thoughts on this month’s curation:
Up first and on the skin care front we have the Erno Laszlo Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar (Sample size). If you missed out on the limited edition Erno Laszlo box by Look Fantastic then this is a good little taster! Including an intense dosage of potent natural skincare ingredients, the cleansing bar is perfect for dull, stressed out skin and also boasts the therapeutic benefits of Dead Sea Mud, which is brimming with 26 minerals to deeply detoxify, protect and restore.
Moving onto hair is the Philip Kingsley Maximizer (Travel size) which is described as the ultimate volumizer! This styling spray is for fine, limp and flyaway hair and provides super body, and maximum volume. It also holds the hair, whilst adding shine and smoothing frizz. This definitely sounds like something my hair could benefit from so I’m looking forward to putting this to the test.
Next out of the box is the Emite Make Up Professional Eye Lash Curler Rose Gold and is an ergonomically designed eye lash curler in stainless steel with a neat gold finish. With a comfortable to grip and easy to work with, the design is adapted to suit all varieties of eye shapes as well as to minimize the risk for touching surrounding makeup. It has rounded silicone rubber pad which applies the appropriate amount of pressure and guarantees an intense lash curl which will last. Lash curlers terrify me so these are pretty much wasted on me!
To pair up with the curlers there’s also a travel sized version of the Doucce Punk Volumizer Mascara. This something I’ve tried previously and didn’t like so I’m gutted that it’s popped up again! This defines your lashes one by one, adding extreme volume and thickness for an audacious false-look effect with a lightweight and creamy formula that pulls every lash upwards to create a long lasting curl without any clumping, flaking, or smudging. It’s not the best mascara in the world and the brush does it no favours whatsoever!
Sticking to make-up is the Sleek Face Form Palette (Full size) which is described as the ultimate face definition kit in one neat compact designed to suit all skin tones with multi-tasking elements such as contour powder, highlighter and/or blusher or bronzer. I’m not too keen on the pink blusher shade but the others look wearable for me.
Last out of the box we have the Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in the shade intimacy which aligns really well with the romance theme they’ve got going on! With a silky smooth formula, it glides effortlessly onto the lips and claims to deliver a long lasting coverage that will last all day!
My Verdict
In comparison to those skin care heavy editions and those repetitive products which had a habit of making their way into the Look Fantastic boxes time and time again, I’m really liking what they’ve have been offering as of late especially this month’s edition which features more make-up than usual! Having said that though, I wasn’t overly excited with the make-up additions apart from the lipstick pencil but there’s a couple of products I am looking forward to trying out such as the volumising spray and the cleansing bar.
