The May “You Beauty Discovery” Box has arrived and it’s a fabulous one this month . You Beauty Discovery this month joined forces with CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) in celebration of the hotly anticipated CEW(UK) 2014 Beauty Awards.
“You Beauty Discovery” is a monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of 2 selected hair, make-up and beauty products from well-known brands and new brands and they also include 2-3 samples. Unlike the other subscription boxes you get to choose two products of your choice from a good selection menu. You do need to be quick as items do become out of stock.
This month the most popular items were out of stock by the morning on the 1st May 2014 which was inevitable due to the fab items on their selection menu this month.

1. Fake Bake 60 Minutes Self-Tan Liquid including an application mitt – Full Size 236ml RRP £24.95
I was so excited and some what surprised to see this product within the selection menu this month. It’s a brand I absolutely love and have used in the past. This product in my opinion was the most popular as it flew off the shelf immediately and by the morning was out of stock which was inevitable. This is an amazing full size bottle of 236ml and came with an application mitt.
Fake Bake 60 Minutes Self-Tan Liquid is easy to apply and it ‘shows-where –it-goes’ cosmetic guide colour. Tanning agents are activated upon contact with the skin while the specialist accelerators are triggered following water contact, which further enhance the development process. This light weight, fast drying formula is non-sticky and does not clog the pores.
I’m no expert when it comes to self tanning applications and think I will try this out over the weekend to be on the safe side. Should the results be disastrous of no fault but my own I can stay indoors for the remainder of the weekend!
2. Lola Make Up Finishing Brush- Full Size RRP £17.00
I actually needed a finishing brush so ‘You Beauty Discovery’ timed this well for me.
This multi-purpose brush is designed to create a natural and airbrushed look.
It can be used to perfect and blend powder or liquid formulations and is deal for buffing face primers or foundations to a flawless finish.
The brush itself has soft bristles and has all of the properties of a good professional make up brush.
3. Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Hair Healer Leave-In Conditioner – Sachet Sample RRP £5.99 for 200ml
This is a lightweight yet intensely nourishing leave in conditioner which is rich in Argan Oil and super conditioners leaving the hair smooth and healthy looking.
I’ve not tried this yet but there are some positive reviews about this product on the internet.
4. Caudalie Divine Legs – Sachet Sample RRP £26.00 for 100ml
This product enhances your legs without sun exposure or self tan by giving them a wonderful sunkissed look in double quick time. A light tinted lotion that gives the skin an ultra natural polished look.
There are mixed reviews on the internet about this product and a common concern is the amount of shimmer when applied onto the legs. If you have long legs then this sample sachet may only do the one leg! However I don’t think I will have this problem and will give this a go in the Summer.
4. Lizi’s Granola – Full Size RRP £0.46 for 40g
Lizi’s Granola offers different flavours and I received the original flavour in my box.
I’ve never tried these before and I was looking forward to tasting this however I am allergic to nuts so probably wise that I don’t indulge into these!
These have a low GL. The energy is released slowly , keeping you fuller for longer preventing mid morning sugar cravings.
I am always snacking at my desk and these appear to be healthy and have good health benefits. Shame I can’t have any!
My Verdict
I am very happy with my You Beauty Discovery Box this month and their amazing selection menu definitely exceeded my expectations. Great brands, good sized products and a good selection of products to cater for everyone’s needs and likes. I loved the theme this month which they have incorporated very well.
My box this month’s contained 2 full sized products (chosen by me) and 3 samples.
The contents within this month’s box is worth an amazing £42.44 – more than the price of the box itself!
“You Beauty Discovery” impresses me every month. Their wide selection of products in their menu has something for everyone. This box is a complete steal for £6.95 and worth every penny. You Beauty Discovery is a very good example of what a beauty box should be in every form.
