As you probably already know, the Cohorted Beauty Boxes aren’t just any beauty boxes, they are the above and beyond containing goodies which will have any girl jumping for joy! With big name brands on board these never disappoint and their June edition is no exception. Inside you can expect to see three full sized products as well as a mini sized nail varnish with an incredible value of £73.00 and for the first time ever the fourth item will vary from box to box. For me personally it’s a little samey with the eye shadows again mainly because these were featured last month but with different products. However for those who did miss out will definitely appreciate this edition and without a doubt it’s another impressive line up.
The June edition features the brands Cargo Cosmetics, MAC and Essie. As always the contents come beautifully presented within a chic black box secured with an organza ribbon giving it a very luxurious look and feel.
1. Cargo Cosmetics Let’s Meet in Paris Eye Palette – Full Size RRP £35.00
Having only discovered Cargo Cosmetics in last month’s Cohorted box I was delighted to receive another in the form of their Let’s Meet in Paris palette.
The palette is adorned with a beautiful damask print giving it a very classy look and feel. Inside there’s a mirror alongside a double-ended brush but it’s true beauty lies within where there’s 12 stunning metallic shades. The shadows are so buttery soft, easy to blend and are incredibly pigmented that you only have to dab the brush lightly to achieve the colour which is really impressive.
What I love about this palette is that there’s shades that I don’t already own and due to the variety there’s lots of room for creativity for achieving some dashing smokey eyes for the evening. I’m really impressed with what I’ve tried so far from Cargo Cosmetics and in terms of the quality the results really do speak for themselves. I can’t wait to have a proper play with all of the pretty shades.
2. Essie Nail Polish – Travel Size Worth £5.00
I’m always happy to see Essie so very much welcomed this travel-sized mini. There’s a few shade variants all of which have summer in mind and I received Haute in the Heat which is a beautiful raspberry creme, it’s definitely my kind of colour for this time of the year.
3. Cargo Bronzer Light – Full Size RRP £20.00
Inside the June edition you can also expect to see a bronzer in the shade light from Cargo Cosmetics and it comes in a shiny sturdy metal tin which is really generously sized. On first impressions this looked quite orange in the pan but once applied it gives a really subtle and natural sunkissed look, perfect for those who are pale. This has a matte finish making it a great bronzer for everyday use and I personally love how easy it is to blend which in turn avoids the overdone look!
4. MAC Eyeshadow – Full Size RRP £13.00
I’ve never tried any of the MAC eyeshadows and I love my first introduction to the shade Shroom, a neutral beige with a shimmer. Shroom has a satin finish and isn’t too yellow or pink toned so it’s very versatile. This color would be great for a inner corner highlight to brighten the eyes up.
My Verdict
Cohorted has certainly marketed itself as a company dedicated to wow-ing its customers and without a doubt the June edition will certainly be a crowd pleaser for those who managed to get their hands on one. Whilst this month’s box was a little similar to the May box in terms of the eyeshadows I was still chuffed with the line up alongside the brands that were featured this month. I’ve been particularly impressed with the products from Cargo Cosmetics and will definitely be looking into more of their products.
The Cohorted editions lately have been mostly make-up oriented giving a very much welcomed break from skincare and I’m secretly hoping it remains that way! This month’s box featured four full sized products and has an incredible value of £92.50 which is really impressive when you take into account the price of the box itself.
I really lust over premium brands and this box really gives you an opportunity to try before you buy at such an affordable price. In terms of the brands, the size of the products and the value of each box I’ve not been disappointed to date.
If you need a little cheering up or a guilt-free treat each month this box can be purchased as a one off transaction so there’s no subscription involved giving you full control and flexibility to purchase as and when you want to. The only downside is due to the limited amount available each month these sell out straight away so you need to be super quick as well having the patience of a saint as getting onto their website during the go-live is a battle in itself!
