When one of my favourite brands collaborate with Birchbox I of course was at the ready to purchase at least one of these boxes although I could of easily purchased all three! With wedding season in mind Birchbox have teamed up with masters of make-up, Benefit Cosmetics, to create a trio of beautiful boxes made for every step of a bride’s journey and although I’ve already been there and done the whole wedding thing I think all three curations are perfect for anyone who loves Benefit or for those who simply want to discover more from the brand.

I decided to go for the ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ edition and whilst all of the boxes equally contain a great line up of skin care and make up products I think the cute little purse did influence my decision slightly!

This edition contains 9 samples and a cute Benefit purse all of which are enclosed inside a beautiful designed box.

1. Benefit Roller Lash – Sample Size 30g
Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara is fairly new and promises to hook, lift and curl the lashes. The formula goes on clump-free and the brush really separates and grips the lashes giving both length and lift. I love this mascara so really happy to have another one in my possession as a back up.

2. Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner – Sample Size
The They’re Real collection was only released last year and this liner is quite a popular product amongst make up fans. Personally I found it quite difficult to achieve the perfect winged look but will definitely give it another go.

3. Benefit They’re Real Remover – Sample Size 7.5ml
If you own anything from the Benefit They’re Real collection you will already know what a pain and nightmare it is to remove both the liner and the mascara, it just doesn’t budge which isn’t a bad thing but when you’re tired and just want to go to bed you want something quick and effective and this is where this remover saves the day!

4. Benefit The POREfessional – Sample Size 3ml

This silky, lightweight balm can be applied alone, under or over makeup with a translucent, oil-free formula that complements all skintones and also helps makeup stay put. It contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.

Porefessional has long been one of my favourite primers I love the way it preps my skin prior make up application which in turn keeps my make up intact throughout the day.

5. Benefit Puff Off – Sample Size 2.5ml

I’ve been really wanting to try out this newly launched eye cream so very happy to have received a sample of this. The Puff Off Eye Gel is Benefit’s latest eye care product which is an “instant eye gel to help smooth the look of undereye puffiness. Being sample sized this doesn’t have the iron tip but the lightweight formula sinks in fast and feels rather comfortable on the skin. It works wonders as a primer too before applying concealer under the eye.

6. Benefit It’s Potent! Eye Cream – Sample Size 3g

The Benefit it’s Potent! Eye cream banishes dark circles, smooths fine lines and protects against free radicals and brightens the eye area in one step with it’s light peptide-packed formula.

This is another light weight formula from their eye collection and although I don’t suffer much from dark circles I do think that the cream definitely brightened up my eye area to some degree with noticeable results. The product absorbs quickly and works really well under make up.

7. Benefit Dream Screen for Face SPF 45 – Sample Size 6ml

Perfect for this time of the year is a sample of the Dream screen broad spectrum SPF 45 silky-matte sunscreen which is ultra lightweight and truly invisible on skin. It absorbs instantly to help prevent skin from aging by protecting against sun damage and leaves skin feeling moisturised.

8. Benefit Lollitint – Sample Size 2.5ml

Wow this really packs a punch and whilst it looks really bright the cool pinkness makes it a very wearable colour. With it being a stain I love that you can go as subtle or as bright as you want leaving you with a pretty sheer wash of colour.

9. Benefit Purse

Last but certainly not least is a cute Benefit purse, it’s great for carrying your favourite make up bits and with a built-in mirror inside it’s perfect for when you’re on the go.

My Verdict

I absolutely love this edition and whilst there’s no full-sized products it’s a great way to discover and sample some of Benefit’s iconic products as well as a couple new launches from their collection and being mini sized they’re perfect for any occasion and for everyone.
