This is my first SoukSouk Little Green Beauty Box subscription and I was so excited that I received my box before the Bank holiday.
“SoukSouk” are a green beauty box company with a mission to help their customers to greenify their beauty regimes, one beauty box at a time! They have various subscription packages and also do a bespoke beauty box and a limited edition box. They really do have something for everyone’s likes and needs. The Box also includes a magazine which has lots of useful articles and facts.
“Scouting out the best, the new, the small and the niche in natural and organic beauty”
This box is a special one this month as it’s Souk Souk’s First Birthday – Happy Birthday SoukSouk!
The box included 5 full sized products and 1 sample sized product. The box mainly consisted of Skincare, Body and Make-up Products this month. A nice variety of products.
1. BalmBalm Rose Geranium Face Balm – Full Size 30ml RRP £6.99
I was so happy to see this pink box as I knew what it was as soon as I laid my eyes on it!
I’ve seen BalmBalm featured quite a lot recently and now I finally have a chance to try this out.
This product is 100% natural and certified organic and is a multi-purpose balm which contains shea butter, sunflower, beeswax, jojoba and calendula and rose geranium essential oils – you know already that this is going to smell amazing and it certainly does.
This is multi-purpose and can be used to moisturise parts of the body or as a face cleanser with a hot cloth.
I have oily/combination skin so was very reluctant to apply this on my face however for other skin types such as normal and dry this would be a great cleanser for the face.
I did however apply this on my part of my arm where I had dry patches and this applied and absorbed into the skin well. My only negative about this product is that it is very hard to squeeze out of the tube and where there is oil within the ingredients this is coming out of the tube first which in theory isn’t mixing with the remainder of the ingredient’s.
2. BalmBalm Muslin Cloth – Full Size x1 RRP £6.25 for 3
This item in the box is a “Birthday Box Bonus” and goes hand in hand with the BalmBalm Face Balm. This cloth is to be used as part of the cleansing regime leaving your skin feeling polished and pampered. A great addition to the box.
3. Kris D’Amour Intensive Soothing Face Treatment – Full Size 10ml RRP £10.60
A completely new brand for me.
Kris d’Amour offers a range of natural, luxury skin care and personalised fragrance products that have been scientifically developed to improve skin conditions and quality of like.
Unlike other cosmetics companies charging high prices for standard products that contain synthetic ingredients that can be harmful to sensitive skin, their products are born of personal experience, made entirely from natural ingredients and crafted with care to leave your skin fresher, healthier and problem free.
The Kris d’Amour range of luxury natural skin care products has been created by Kris Wronski, a professional Medical Scientist who has spent the last 12 years studying and working at Leeds St. James’s University Hospital.
This product is designed for dry, sensitive and dehydrated skin and includes ingredient’s such as Argan, Rosehip, Jojoba, Hemp, Strawberry seed and avocado oils with sea buckthorn and Tamanu to calm, repair and promote cell regeneration.
This has a dropper applicator for ease of use which is great. Unfortunately this range isn’t suitable for my skin type however my husband has decided to give this a go as – he loves a freebie!
4. Kris D’Amour Soothing Body Oil – Full Size 10ml RRP £9.60
Another product from the same range and this one is a body oil. This is suitable for very dry and eczema prone skin. It contains Chamomile, Lavender and geranium essential oils blended with sea buckthorn, rosehip, hemp, avocado, wheatgerm and Vitamin E to soothe and hydrate the skin.
My husband is always moaning that their is nothing for him in any of my beauty boxes and really hope that some day a beauty box for men will be available in the UK!! Well he is certainly in for a treat this month and has volunteered to be my guinea pig for a couple of products in this box. He is prone to eczema and sometimes it flares up quite badly so this product is ideal for him and it’s 100% natural which won’t irritate his condition. He has tried prescription and off the counter creams none of which have been successful.
Upon application he immediately noticed that the area stopped itching which is very positive. I will be keeping an eye on his eczema to see how effective this is and will report back on here to give you all an update in a few weeks.
5. Kris D’Amour Soothing Body Treatment Butter – Sample Size 10ml RRP £6.60
This is a handmade Body Butter made from the most potent 100% pure plant oils and butters enriched with Calendula, Chamomile, Lavender and Rose extracts, rich in vitamins, minerals and anti-inflammatory agents, these body treatment butter will help improve skin’s elasticity, restore radiance, calm and revitalize your skin.
This is suitable for any skin type and very effective for those with dry, sensitive, prone to eczema and irritations skin types.
This smells absolutely wonderful and has a very nice texture when applied. An ideal sized pot which can be carried in your makeup bag or handbag.
5. PHB Ethical Beauty Lip Pencil – Full Size 4g RRP £9.95
This is a new lip pencil by PHB Ethical Beauty. Made without parabens, preservatives and other nasties.
The colour I received was a brown tone colour which was pigmented with a strong colour when applied. It’s vegan also!
My Verdict
This was my first box from SoukSouk and I am very happy and content with the products provided this month. I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all of the products but most of all I learnt about natural and organic ingredients and the benefits which can be gained using such products. Their magazine was also a good read and very informative.
The box included 5 full sized products and 1 sample sized product. The box mainly consisted of Skincare, Body and Make-up Products this month. A very generous mix of products.
This is slightly more expensive than the other boxes but it is totally worth spending the extra couple of pounds. The quality and selection of the products are great also. Out of the 6 items 5 of them were full sized.
Overall, this is a great box this month and if you want to discover natural and organic brands this is the box for you.
The contents within this month’s box is worth an amazing £45.00.
I am already looking forward to receiving next month’s box.
