When I saw the spoilers for the July My Little Box, for the first time ever I actually felt that the lifestyle items looked a little underwhelming than usual but now it’s arrived it’s somewhat grown on me! So whether your hitting the open road with the windows down and the music up or jetting off to sunnier climes the July edition cleverly features some key traveling companions alongside some great beauty essentials you’ll definitely want to carry on board. As always, the design, contents and the extra little touches fit in so aptly with the theme itself, something which makes this box very unique compared to the rest.

My Little Box is a hand-picked and beautifully designed box of beauty, fashion and lifestyle surprises. With fashion accessories, beauty products and other goodies created exclusively for you and based around a different theme every month, each box promises to delight their subscribers. They also produce their in house beauty products known as My Little Beauty.

The June edition features an impressive line up with summer in mind and includes a mixture of beauty products alongside two lifestyle items. Enclosed is the My Little World Magazine which is no longer a magazine as such but folds out inside, it’s not the most friendliest approach when it comes to reading!

1.  Essie Nail Polish – Full Size RRP £7.99

In terms of the beauty line up this is the only item which lets this box down a little. I received the shade Cocoa Karma which reminds me of a warm caramel shade, it’s not really a shade that I would associate with this time of year and would of loved something a little more summery but nonetheless it comes from a brand that I truly love so I’ll be saving this for autumn/winter.

2.   Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – Travel Size 125ml RRP £1.99

I’m definitely a little late to the party when it comes to this Micellar Cleansing Water by Garnier. It always ends up in my basket if I’m in Boots or Superdrug but then it hits home that I have far too many cleansing products to justify buying another one so it naturally goes back on the shelf so I’m really pleased to see this travel-friendly version.

Claimed as being a magical cleansing water, the gentle yet effective formula pretty much acts like a magnet when removing dirt and make up and it works pretty damn good. It’s light and fresh and doesn’t irritate my skin in the slightest.

Without a doubt this is love at first swipe…It’s great for removing that last bit of makeup off at night, but it’s also lovely to use in the morning to refresh your skin.

3.  Golden Temporary Tattoo Set by DCER – Full Size RRP £3.50

It was only matter of time before My Little Box featured some tattoos, I think majority of the boxes have done the rounds with these! Unfortunately I’m not a fan of applying these on my body however they’re great for jazzing up your nails.

4.  My Little Beauty Summer Sorbet After Sun Body Gelee – Full Size 100ml RRP £9.00

I think it’s pretty amazing that My Little Box also have their own beauty range which is called My Little Beauty.

This month see’s a full sized after sun gel which smells good to eat! This light weight gel is pink in colour and although it’s mainly for slathering on after sun exposure it also doubles up as a mosituriser too. With it’s hydrating and calming properties it’s a great addition that arrives aptly to cool and soothe the skin.

5. Lifestyle Items

This month’s edition sees three lifestyle items, their not the most exciting items but are useful if you’re having a little break this summer.

First up is the Ready-to-Send Notebook (RRP £3.50) which I find quite pointless to be completely honest. Whilst I totally get it, we live in a world where the internet is readily available alongside phones which pretty much do everything these days so why I would want to go out of my way to find a post office is beyond me when I could simply send an email with photo’s attached! Of course you’d need a pen to write your notes so they’ve also included a Cristal Stylus Pen by BIC (RRP £1.40). I initially thought this was just a normal pen but on the other end there’s a stylus which I think is really useful especially for us women with long nails – have you tried entering data on a Sat Nav whilst driving? It’s a bloody nightmare so this will definitely come in useful and is a much safer alternative!

Last but certainly not least is the Travel Organiser (RRP £10.50), my favourite of the lifestyle items this month. I’m always faffing around in my handbag (the blackhole!) to find things so this practical pouch really is great for traveling and a genius way to keep everything neat and tidy in one place.

 My Verdict

Admittedly this isn’t the best box I’ve received from My Little Box but by no stretch is it a bad one, it all comes down to what you like and what you’ll make use out of. There’s a couple of the items which I thought let this box down a little but nonetheless I was pleasantly surprised by the Travel Organiser and the BIC Pen, both of which will come in handy for me. In terms of the beauty line up there’s a few highlights this month including some key essentials that are spot on for summer and I’m particularly happy that I’m finally a proud owner of the Garnier Micellar Water, I can’t believe I’ve been missing out for so long!

One thing I can’t fault is the extra little touches, the intricate detail and the love inside these boxes, they really do bring something special and unique to the beauty subscription market making it one of a kind, even the drawstring bag matches the colour scheme this month.

If you like chic and adorable lifestyle items along with good beauty brands, you will simply fall in love with this box and I can’t recommend it enough! It really does deliver something very magical which is guaranteed to make you smile.
