This December, Glossybox have teamed up with the lovely Beauty Blogger Really Ree and together, they created the perfect festive edition with a very attractive exterior and is a complete kit to get you looking and feeling great.  This collaboration is all about Ree’s top picks of the best in beauty this season and includes little skincare luxuries to restore and hydrate your skin as well as all the products required to create a statement look from a bold lip, razor-sharp cheekbones and a pretty nail varnish to complete the look. As an extra treat Glossybox have also included a STARSKIN Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Mask which can be used for next day recovery so all in all I think they’ve really got you covered this Christmas with 6 good sized products on board.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of 4-5 selected hair, make-up , body and nail products from well-known brands and new brands and includes a mixture of full sized and sample products.

1. etre belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll On – Full Size 10ml. RRP £30.66

Over the party season you’re bound to encounter a few late nights and perhaps the odd too many drinks so this month’s addition of the Golden Skim Caviar Eye Roll On by etre belle seems rather fitting to revive those partied-out eyes!

The Gold Caviar Complex is combined with Pullulan, a highly effective skin-firming active ingredient, that instantly smoothes, relaxes and refreshes tired skin around the eyes. The cool, revitalising texture of the gel delivers maximum hydration and relaxes and soothes swollen eyelids, making the area around the eyes look visibly firmer and refreshed with the radiance of youth.

2. So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter Crayon – Full Size RRP £15.00

This is without a doubt such a beautiful highlighter and one that I received via a previous So Susan Lip Love Bag.

The unique chiseled head enables you to cover large areas of the face, or target small pinpoint ones (like your cupid’s bow), all without using a brush! Powered by Organic Chia Seed it helps to keep skin softly hydrated and the addition of the Silk Peptide promotes skin suppleness and elasticity.

This highlighter is creamy, luminous, long-lasting and is the most perfect shade that looks entirely natural. It reminds me of a cream eyeshadow stick. It’s an absolutely stunning colour that would suit all skin tones and it blends in leaving the most radiant of glows.

3. Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint – Full Size RRP £7.00

It’s no secret how much I love a pretty pink when it comes to my nails so I was delighted to discover the Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint in the shade *Candy Shop, a gorgeous bubble gum pastel pink that I absolutely adore.

*Shades will vary

4. Darphin 8 Flower Nectar Oil Cream – Sample Size 5ml

One of Darphin’s best sellers is this innovative hybrid oil cream that indulges the skin as it soothes the senses. Infused with the iconic 8- Flower Nectar, a rare blend of aromatic essences from 280 petals, it offers a crescendo transformation from a rich cream to an opulent oil leaving the skin radiant and enveloped in comforting moisture.

5. essence Liquid Lipstick in Show Off – Full Size RRP £2.50

This Liquid lipstick by essence is a hybrid between a lipstick and a lipgloss and comes in a lovely party shade in Show Off.

Boasting a very purse-friendly price, you get a very pigmented lip colour with an intense shine that really packs a punch. The only thing I would say is it doesn’t settle on the lips and moves around a lot especially if you layer it on but nonetheless it has a very comfortable texture without any stickiness.

6. Starskin Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Mask – RRP £8.50

The sheet mask trend that originated in Korea years ago, has very quickly started to make it’s way in leaps and bounds to the rest of the world and Starskin is a fairly a new brand who specialise in bio-cellulose second-skin masks. The brand has worked closely with dermatologists, estheticians and makeup artists to develop the masks. They are made of the same materials used on burns victims in medical units and are considered the “next generation” of face-mask. Bio-cellulose is  made from fermented coconuts in a natural process without chemicals and the fibres allow the serum to be absorbed into the skin quickly and easily.

 My Verdict

The December Glossybox in collaboration with Beauty Blogger Really Ree was bound to be full of festive treats, all the essentials to get you through the party season with a good varied collection. This month’s edition is quite possibly my favourite this year, the line up is so spot on and features a number of highlights from make up and nail varnish to achieve that party look alongside some beauty fixes for the morning after, they’ve really got you covered! In the spirit of the festive season they’ve definitely gone all out with the packaging and I absolutely love the rose gold box it’s so pretty!

Priced at just £13.25 with a retail value over £60.00, it is an utter bargain and the generous sized products make it the perfect guilt-free treat for yourself or a gift for a beauty fan.
