Percy & Reed are by far one of my favourite haircare brands, not only do they look pretty on the dresser their products work absolute wonders so I was pretty excited to see a good selection of their products within the boutique. One of the products you can expect to see is the No Fuss, Flawless Dry Conditioner (Full Size 150ml RRP £12.00 – 20 Credits) and if you’re looking for a product that can revitalise and condition your hair inbetween washes without the use of H2O then this is great for those wintery days to keep your locks tangle-free
2. Skincare
Our poor skin has a lot to deal with during the winter so it’s only natural that it complains a little and I’m pleased to report that Love Me Beauty have really got us covered!
The Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Cream (Travel Size – 10 credits) contains an innovative complex of anti-oxidants and active ingredients that work to relieve stressed complexions while hydrating and refreshing the skin too. Up next is the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or Dry Gold Oil (Travel Size – 10 Credits) that’s an multi-usage dry oil that gives a golden shimmer to your face, body and hair with a very subtle finish, it’ a great way to add a little glow and luminosity during the festive season and is also infused with the ever so popular scent of Huile Prodigieuse.
Dr Lipp’s Nipple Balm (Full Size RRP 12.00 – 20 credits) is an extremely versatile healing and nourishing balm thanks to it’s one key ingredient Lanolin. The formula is 100% natural, hyper allergenic, odourless and contains no parabens. I already use this as a lip balm and it’s great for chapped or sore lips and the perfect addition for the winter. The balm also has multi purpose uses and isn’t just restricted for the lips. It soothes dry and sensitive skin and can be used for dry cuticles, dry skin patches, burns and abrasions, sore nipples, split ends and eczema.
I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve tried from Monu so far and the Moisture Rich Hydrating Masks (Travel Size – 10 credits) sounds like a true treat for those with dry skin. This non setting mask has been formulated using a blend of natural ingredients including Geranium essential oil and kaolin Clay to ensure the skin is cleansed and energised. Royal Jelly, Evening Primrose Oil and Apricot Kernel Oil will ensure the skins suppleness and youth are preserved.
With the stresses of Christmas and not forgetting the cold winter days, nothing feels more relaxing than a nice hot bath/shower and Love Me Beauty have added a good selection of pampering bath treats from Roques Oneil, a brand that specialise in effective aromatherapeutic remedies that I’ve been interested in getting to know better for quite some time.
The Himalayan Detox Salts (Travel Size Pouch RRP £10.00 – 20 credits) have gained a cult status winning the Beauty Shortlist Award 2013 ! This mini contains between 2-3 baths worth and it’s unique mineral content combined with detoxifying essential oils and a smidge of alchemy promises to untangle scrambled energy and encourages deep relaxation.
The Boost Hair and Body Wash Shower (Travel Size 50ml RRP £10.00 – 10 credits) acts as a super-charger to help you face the day with new vibrancy and sounds like a great pick-up for the mornings and something I can’t wait to try.
The December Boutique wouldn’t be complete without the addition of make up and nail varnishes to complete your party look and there’s a great selection from brands we all love and know as well as some new discoveries from US brand Cailyn Cosmetics.
Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish in Old Burlington Street (Full Size RRP £14.00 – 20 credits) is a stunning inky, navy creme which looks stylish and opulent with it’s high gloss finish whilst the Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish in Hyde Park Place (Full Size RRP £14.00 – 20 credits) is a pretty soft grey that I can see myself wearing quite often, it’s the perfect 9-5 shade!
I’ve tried quite a few make up bits from Cailyn Cosmetics and they didn’t disappoint so if you’re looking to shake up your make up bag I highly recommend their products. Made with 100% raw mineral powder, the Mineral Eye Polish in Milk Chocolate (Full Size RRP £11.00) – 20 credits) is a highly pigmented satiny powder that colors your eyes with a shimmery, gorgeous hue. With an easy to use built-in sponge tip, it allows smooth application and seamless blending of colors.
As well as the beauty products Love Me Beauty have created very own collection of jewellery and I must say they have impeccable taste as the dainty designs are so pretty and the quality is pretty amazing too. There’s a good selection of earrings, necklaces and bracelets so you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice!
My Verdict
Growing leaps and bounds since they revamped their concept, the December Love Me Beauty Boutique really shines and covers all areas of beauty alongside some stunning jewellery pieces from an array of established brands alongside a few new discoveries with something for every beauty enthusiast. Whether you love makeup, skincare, nails, beauty tools, accessories or a little bit of everything Love Me Beauty have featured a collective of seasonally appropriate treats that really have you covered during the colder months as well as the party season. The products are really generous in size too so you’ll really be able to judge whether you like them or not.
