The So Susan collection ranges from make-up to nail varnish combining their lovely portfolio of colours with science. Their philosophy is to create colours which last, are cruelty free and also much kinder to your skin. As well as the philosophy behind the brand, I love the feminine and pretty designed packaging which always stands out for me. I’ve tried quite a few products from their collection and already have a few firm favourites.
Each month, the Lip Love bag will include 3 full sized items and one bonus product from either Jelly Pong Pong or So Susan alongside an treat in the form of jewellery or a hair accessory.
1. Lip Parfait in “Raccoon” by Trifle Cosmetics – Full Size RRP £12.95
If you love cute packaging you’re in for a real treat as this lipstick by Trifle Cosmetics is just adorable! The shade Racoon looks a little bright but once applied it really is a beautiful shade of pink that you’ll be able to pull off both day and night. With tons of pigment and a hydrating formula packed with lots of goodness I absolutely adore this.
2. So Susan Luminous High-Coverage Foundation SPF15 – Full Size RRP £16.95
This lightweight, smooth siliconic emulsion promises to melt immediately into the skin to give you a luminous, dewy complexion. Made with Soybean Protein, rosehip oil and Candula Flower, it illuminates the skin, leaving it silky, moisturized and with a perfect boasts high coverage to hide shadows and signs of fatigue as well as healing and nourishing chapped skin.
Liquid foundation is my go-to for nights when I like to have a full face but for daily use I much prefer something that’s weightless but still gives me that coverage and the Luminous High-Coverage Foundation does exactly that! The medium-coverage formula focuses more on illuminating and making your skin look dewy, rather than covering it up completely. It blends very easily into the skin and effortlessly makes my skin look brighter without that full on look.
3. Lychee Gel by Jelly Pong Pong– Full Size RRP £12.95
This softening bath & shower gel is infused with the most delicious lychee-lemon scent that cocoons you in a delicious cloud of fresh tangy lemons and sweet, ripe lychee fragrance. The ultra-gentle formula produces a luxurious, silky foam that cleanses without drying out your skin and is made without parabens. I love receiving shower gels and this is a great choice for the mornings when you need to awaken the mind and body.
4. So Susan Dual Brow Powder – Full Size RRP £11.95
This smudge-proof dual-shade compact comes in a medium coverage and is infused with Aloe Extract and Carrot Seed Oil to nourish and rejuvenate the sensitive skin around the eyes.
The palette itself is robust and contains two powder shades, one being a light brown and the other a darker brown. It also has a mirror inside and an angled application brush so you can get right underneath the brow line. Unfortunately the shades were too light for my brows but nonetheless the powder does adhere well.
My Verdict
So Susan have curated yet another great edition which features a selection of new and exciting make up discoveries as well as a shower gel from a variety of brands this month. Apart from the brow palette which wasn’t dark enough for me, I don’t think there’s anything I won’t continue to use. I love the foundation that’s the ideal choice for my working week and the vivid pink lipstick really isn’t as intimidating as it looks, instead it gives a lovely pop of colour. As for the shower gel it’s really refreshing and a great pick me up for the mornings so a very welcomed addition inside this months bag. Whilst the line up doesn’t disappoint, It’s a shame they’ve not included an accessory this month as something sparkly would have been a nice finishing touch. As always the bag features all full sized products so it’s incredible value for money and great for those who want to discover more skin friendly and cruelty-free alternatives.
The Lip Love Bag literally caters for every make-up addict regardless of whether you’re a pro or just want to experiment with different products and shades that may usually be outside of your comfort zone. One of the aspects I really love is that So Susan are always churning out new revolutionary products so you can always expect to discover something new as well as some of their classic and popular products too. I’ve discovered some great products this year and can’t wait to see what So Susan have in store for 2016.
