Since only launching a couple of month’s ago, the Cohorted Beauty Boxes have been a huge hit with customers although you do need to be super-quick as with only a limited supply they literally fly off the shelf within minutes of being launched. Whilst Cohorted are still fairly new to the beauty box industry, their editions so far have truly wowed me and it’s a box that showcases a great array of products from a wealth of quality brands and inside, you’re bound to fall in love with something if not everything. With last month’s line up being a firm favourite of mine, I couldn’t wait to see what they had in store this month and to no surprise it’s another showstopper that features both well-known and loved beauty brands boasting three full-sized products and one good sized sample. For those of you who are not familiar with Cohorted, they are an online cult beauty retailer who provide a much fairer price when it comes to purchasing well known and loved brands such as Urban Decay, Benefit, MAC, NARS, Dolce & Gabbana, Real Techniques, plus many more.

The April box features another incredible line up worth £70.00 and showcases well known brands such as Korres, MAC, Ark and bareMinerals. The contents come beautifully presented within a chic black box secured with an organza ribbon giving it a very luxurious look and feel.

1.    bareMinerals Heavenly Face Brush – Full Size RRP £22.00

Whilst I love lotions, potions and make-up, it was really refreshing to see this face brush to mix it up a little this month and comes from bareMinerals, a brand I’ve not tried much of but I was really impressed with their Pure Transformation Night Treatment that I received from last month’s box, it’s great as my husband is still none the wiser why I look so radiant when I go bed!

The Heavenly face brush promises to give you a feather-light application for all over the face with it’s large, soft, blunt-cut brush. The bristles are extremely soft and dense and has an added advantage of being really light weight.  It’s such a versatile brush and works well for applying foundation, face powder and even blusher. I love how this brush works with my makeup especially when blending out foundation, it’s creates a smooth and flawless finish.

2.   MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush  –  Full Size. Worth £18.00

Eeek! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I spotted MAC inside this month’s box! I already own quite a few shades from MAC’s Sheertones collection so was delighted to welcome another shade into my collection . The sheertone blushers are slightly on the softer, sheerer side and can be built up for higher pigmentation and is one of the main reasons why I love these blushers as they give controlled application without making you look like a clown!

I received the shade Dollymix and admittedly it’s not something that I would of picked out myself as visually it looks really bright but when applied it gives a lovely, soft rosy glow with a dewy finish. It’s definitely one of those pink shades that will look flattering on all skin tones. I am totally obsessed with the colour and I can see myself reaching for this blush quite frequently.

3.   ARK Age Prepare Skin Purifying Masque – Travel Size 30ml Worth £10.00

I’ve not tried anything from ARK but I’m already in love with their revolutionary skincare concept as their products are not categorised by skin type, but by the stage your skin is at during the age process. There are three ranges available from ARK according to age and I received the Skin Purifying Masque from their Age Prepare collection which is aimed at teens to early 30’s so I just about made the cut, that was lucky!

This mask targets congested skin and absorbs excess oil, helps to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and diminishes blemishes leaving the skin feeling calm and clear.

Being oily skinned and prone to spots I’m always on the look out for products to make my skin look and feel happy so I can’t wait to give this a go.

4.  Korres Mulberry Vanilla Body Butter – Full Size 250ml RRP £19.50

I’ve been really enjoying what I’ve tried from Korres so far and this body butter comes in massive 250ml tube with pretty, abstract artwork to match the Mulberry and Vanilla scent.

The cream itself literally smells good enough to eat! The formula is fairly thick and I found that it takes slightly longer to absorb fully into the skin but once absorbed, it kept my skin hydrated without any oiliness and works particularly well to combat any dry areas. This body butter feels really pampering on the skin whilst providing beneficial nutrients and pleasing your sense of smell.

My Verdict

There’s a lot to love about this month’s Cohorted Beauty Box and I’m truly blown away by the line up. Month on month their boxes just wow me and whilst their still fairly new they’ve definitely made their mark when it comes to beauty boxes and deliver something quite luxe and unique. The April edition has a showstopping line up boasting a great selection of products from well-known and popular beauty brands and there isn’t anything that I won’t continue to use, I’m absolutely smitten with everything. This month’s box featured three full sized products alongside a generous sized sample and has an incredible value of £69.50 which is really impressive when you take into account the price of the box itself.

I really lust over premium brands but not knowing how the product will perform is the main factor which usually stops me from splurging out, but this box really gives you an opportunity to try before you buy at such a steal. In terms of the brands, the size of the products and the value of each box the quality has remained consistent and whilst the box is expensive compared to the others it really is worth spending the extra. If you need a little cheering up or a guilt-free treat each month this box can be purchased as a one off transaction so there’s no subscription involved giving you full control and flexibility to purchase as and when you want to.
