With Spring now in full bloom the April So Susan Lip Love Bag  embraces the season with a beautiful floral inspired bag and inside you can expect to see a great line up of treats to brighten up post winter complexions as we head into the warmer months. I adore the line up this month it features a good mixture of products that are perfect for bringing a touch of spring to your make up bag. This month’s bag boasts an incredible value of £70.00.

The So Susan collection ranges from make-up to nail varnish combining their lovely portfolio of colours with science. Their philosophy is to create colours which last, are cruelty free and also much kinder to your skin. As well as the philosophy behind the brand, I love the feminine and pretty designed packaging which always stands out for me. I’ve tried quite a few products from their collection and already have a few firm favourites.

Each month, the Lip Love bag  will include 3 full sized items and one bonus  product from either Jelly Pong Pong or So Susan.  This month’s bag being the third edition includes four make up items and two flower hair grips.

1. So Susan Colour Hybrid – Full Size. RRP £15.00

The Colour Hybrid is a new addition to the So Susan family and it’s creamy mousse formula comes in a luxuriously deep Marsala shade which has been all the rage recently with it being the pantone colour of the year,  and promises to look beautiful on all skin tones.

I love the formula which feels velvety soft as soon as it touches the lips and the shade itself really adds a punch of colour alongside the Organic Sacha Inchi Oil and luxe Jasmine extract which keeps your lips feeling moist and super-soft. I was really surprised to be greeted with it’s strawberry scent, it’s so refreshing but the only downside is I want to lick my lips as it literally smells good enough to eat! I’m really impressed with the Colour Hybrid, the pigment and colour is truly amazing.

2. So Susan Wonderlight – Full Size RRP £10.00

The Wonderlight is a fusion of an eye primer, luminizer, eyeshadow-enhancing base and an under-eye perfector all in one duo product. One end is a water-based primer with light-reflecting chromospheres and the other is creamy under-eye corrector that not only erases dark circles but is also infused with Alfalfa Leaf Powder to give you the perfect base for a crease-free and lasting finish.

I received the shade luminescent and it’s a lovely light bronze shade which works great as a highlighter on the brow bone and to emphasise the cheekbones. The subtleness really gives a pretty sheen especially when the light hits and it’s not too much on the shimmery side so you don’t need to worry about looking like a disco ball! It works equally as good as an eyeshadow too and when you partner the two formula’s together it really gives the colour that little more intensity.

I love all-in-one products and this one by So Susan is a great all-rounder.

3. So Susan 8-Hour Cheek Stain – Full Size RRP £25.00

I already own this 8-hour cheek stain in the shade Orchid and was happy to see a back up although it lasts forever as you only need a little for a rosy flush of colour.

This unique balm-like texture cheek stain reminds me of a big crayon and I can vouch that this definitely lasts for up to 8 hours and is water-resistant too making it a great companion for holidays. It also doubles up as a lip stain although the texture is much better suited for the cheeks. Applying this with your fingers as opposed to dabbing the product straight on works much better when blending out and I love how you have complete control over the colour to achieve a subtle look to something more dramatic.

4. Jelly Pong Pong Caribbean Sun- Full Size RRP £16.00

Housed within a compact and travel-friendly plastic palette, this duo contains a blusher and bronzer, the perfect pairing for Spring.

This fragrance-free blush & bronzer duo promises to give you a radiant, airbrushed glow with its infusion of healthy Argan & moisturizing Mango Butter. The unique formulation is coated with pigments to help the skin mimic a whisper-light, sunkissed Caribbean-inspired finish as well as helping to even out redness.

I received the Aruba palette which features a duo of flattering and natural-looking hues and it’s silky formula blends effortlessly. The blush and the bronzer apply beautifully and gives you the perfect sun-kissed look for Spring with a natural finish.

Besides it’s physical attribute making it travel-friendly, having a blush and bronzer in one packaging definitely gets one big tick from me!

5. Camellia Flower Grips (Bonus Item) – RRP £4.00

As well as the make-up line up So Susan also featured a pair of pretty flower grips unfortunately I think I’m a little old to pull these off but for those who are planning to go to any festivals this year, these would look great.

 My Verdict

So Susan have curated another great bag this month that incorporates a beautiful collection of spring inspired products, perfect for brightening up post-winter complexions. I love the line-up this month which covers everything you could possible need to welcome the warmer months. Whilst the Lip Love bag is still fairly new I’ve been really impressed with the variety so far and each month delivers something very different as So Susan are always churning out new revolutionary products so you can always expect to discover something new as well as some of their classic products too. I love the design of the canvas make-up bag and it’s pretty abstract artwork is designed specifically to match the theme each month which is really impressive.

It’s definitely refreshing to see just a make-up based subscription which not only is cruelty-free but kind to the skin too without compromising on any of the quality. This concept by So Susan really gives you a great opportunity to experiment with make up colours that usually may be out of your comfort zone.

The contents within the bag is worth an incredible £70.00 and beats the actual price of the bag itself making it super affordable and exceptional value.

I’m super impressed with the Lip Love Bag and can’t wait to see what they have in store next month.
