The April Love Lula Beauty Box has landed and this month see’s another refreshing line up, perfect for Spring as it’s the season that calls for a change in our beauty routine to awaken and rejuvenate post-winter skin. 1. Madara Balancing Toner – Full Size 200ml. RRP £12.00
I’ve been on the look out for a new toner and was delighted to see a full-sized Balancing Toner from Madara and on the plus side it’s suitable for both normal and combination skin types.
The toner promises to deeply tone, balance oily and dry areas of the face as well as tightening the pores and regulating the pH level of the skin. It’s infused with a great blend of ingredients such as Baltic raspberry, plantain, cucumber, chamomile and rose water, all of which sound wonderfully refreshing.
I literally soaked a cotton wool pad with this lovely formula and immediately I fell in love. The natural ingredients such as the chamomile and cucumber really soothed and awakened the skin making it perfect for perking up the skin in the mornings. The scent is rather delicate too which is always a bonus.
Whilst I have loved what I’ve tried so far from Madara I feel that it’s been featured quite frequently inside the Love Lula boxes recently and would to see some different brands within their upcoming boxes.
2. Fig and Rouge French Vanilla Hand Cream – Full Size 80ml. RRP £6.50
For those of you who read my posts regularly will know that I’m a sucker for a hand cream and whilst the Love Lula boxes feature hand creams quite often in their boxes I was pleased to see one from Figs and Rouge as they smell utterly divine and are packaged in a vibrant eye catching print enough to make you want to get them all!
This light and absorbent hand cream is perfect for daily use and doesn’t leave any oiliness and the scent smells so yummy.
3. Herbfarmacy Selection Pots – Sample Pots x 5
The philosophy and driving force behind this brand is they are currently the only UK company who grow and process the herbs to make their skin care products on the farm and their products are filled with naturally-derived and organic ingredients.
Within this month’s box you can expect to find a good selection of sample pots from Herbfarmacy’s collection all contained within a little pouch. The collection includes:

I love the little pots they come in as it’s so much easier than the typical sample sachets, they’re re-usable and really handy for traveling also. It’s a great way to really get a feel of the brand and although the pots are tiny there is plenty for at least 2-3 days use.
4. REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial – Sample Size 15ml. Full Size 100ml RRP £9.99
REN is a brand that I really adore having tried a few of their products and was happy to see their Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial, perfect for when you need a quick pick me up in the morning or when you’re frantically late for work and don’t have time for a full-on cleanse!
This product is fairly new to REN’s collection and with all of their products they use only 100% plant and mineral derived actives so you can be sure that the ingredients are pure and highly active.
This transforming treatment claims to instantly revitalise and visibly rejuvenate the skin. Formulated with potent water-activated Vitamin C it will neutralize urban grey in a flash, leaving skin looking firm, toned and smoothed, while reducing the signs of fatigue, photo-ageing and skin imperfections leaving the skin instantly glowing with renewed health and radiance.
In theory this sounds great and I can’t wait to give it a go over the weekend.
This month sees another great edition by Love Lula, I really love the line up which showcases a mixture of skin and body care products and whilst there were no new brand discoveries as such, the products themselves were all new to me. When it comes to skincare I’m quite fussy what I apply to my problematic skin and I don’t think there’s anything that I won’t continue to use as the majority seems to be quite spot on for me this month. There was also a good mixture of full sized products and samples this month with a value of around £20.00+. One of the aspects I really like about Love Lula is that they always include a mixture of products from both well-known and emerging brands so they’ll always be something new to try, and as their concept is focused, you won’t find the majority of these products within any of the other beauty boxes. I feel that Love Lula have really upped their game recently and I’m loving their new step in direction although the only gap is the lack of make up featured, I would love to discover some natural and organic alternatives.
